Good observation!!
Median is the middle number in a sorted list of numbers.
To determine the median value in a sequence of numbers, the numbers must first be sorted, or arranged, in value order from lowest to highest or highest to lowest.
Personally, I also find the count of total $ millionaires important w.r.t. the information on median.
Clearly, rising tide raises all boats!!
Nevertheless, @SushantSin's point makes enough sense by itself and without my rejoinder.
Unfortunately, like the count of total millionaires in India, the capacity to discern and appreciate a deep point pertaining to data analysis in India is also conspicuous by it's absence. 🤣👍
By the way, @SushantSin, the number on median wealth is simply startling.
It simply means, 91,60,00000/2th Indian in a order of adult Indians sorted by wealth, possesses 3457 * ₹80.62 = ₹2,78,703.34 NAV($3457 wealth).
Absolutely believable & realistic. 👌🤣🥂
Simply put, just 50% of all adults in India have a NAV more than ₹2,78,703.34 ($3457 in wealth).
Amazing!!!! 🤣
With the purchasing power of ₹10 equalling erstwhile ₹1 at present,
I shudder to think how those at the bottom of the pyramid manage to eek out a living for themselves, nowadays?
Yet, I seldom notice adult Indians owning more than the median wealth in India, appreciate the privilege.
Clearly, they ought to find greater peace with this information.
I really can’t tell if they can and they would. 🤣
